The W-2/1099 Filer for Windows is a full-featured stand-alone system designed to satisfy the regulatory filing requirements with respect to Forms W-2, W-2C, 1099's, 1098's, 5498 and 941/940/943/944/945. Payor and employee/recipient permanent information (the name and address) is kept on file year after year to eliminate repetitive typing. Form information (the numbers) are stored on file for the current year. Forms may be viewed and/or edited prior to final printing onto laser generated or preprinted W-2's and 1099's, continuous forms or submission of electronic media.
The concept of the program is fairly simple. The program utilizes 3 major areas related to each other by a common key (ID #'s):
Payors (names and addresses)
Employee/recipients (names and addresses)
Form data (numeric amounts)
After inputting, print an edit list and/or summary report to verify the accuracy of the input. If correct, load blank paper or preprinted forms into your printer and print actual Form W-2's and 1099's or file electronically.
